Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold is Now Available to Order
Gear up for the world’s first foldable PC, Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold, a think pad that we have never seen before. After divulging the device last year, Lenovo has finally unfolded this first-in-its-class foldable ThinkPad. It’s now available to order and you can actually be the one to hold this dynamic PC. Lenovo calls it “Carry Small, Use Big” meaning the larger features you can access with this 13-inch OLED slate that can bend into various configurations. With this device, your screen view will change according to the orientation or fold of the screen. Sound’s amazing, isn’t it? Well, this is just not everything about this astounding PC. With Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold, you can practically fold the 13-inch screen in half widthwise forming a bigger tablet. Combine it with a detachable Bluetooth keyboard (comes as optional, need to buy it separately) and an easel stand for a wider experience. Or, you can divide the screen into two adjacent displays for a better multitasking experience. You can also switch it to 90 degrees fold to use it as a miniature laptop and a touchscreen keyboard will pop-up on the bottom part. It’s not over yet! You can also turn Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold horizontally (split-screen mode) to use it as a book to experience real reading. Using a stylus (comes as optional, need to buy it separately) can enhance the reading experience even better. Or you can just wrap the device up and carry it around as it will not occupy much space in your bag. Now, let us take a look at the technical specifications of this never-before device. This heavily featured PC weight just around 2.2 pounds, much closer to the weights of normal tablets, right! It comes with built-in ThinkShield security solutions that ensure a secure end-to-end approach throughout their lifecycle. Talking about durability, Lenovo is assuring ThinkPad X1 Fold for being durable & reliable than any other foldable devices. Built with the multi-link torque hinge mechanism, these ThinkPads can manage stress when you twist the display for various modes. To reduce creases & scratches in the display, Lenovo has used a carbon fiber-reinforced plates and a lightweight magnesium alloy frame with that hinge. According to them, the ThinkPad X1 Fold display has gone through various durability testing to withstand hard taps. ThinkPad X1 Fold comes in five different variations. All the models come with Intel’s Lakefield processors i.e, i5-L16G7 Processor with Turbo Boost and Intel® Hybrid Technology
